Artist statement
Galatée is a soliflore with a neo-antique spirit. This one pays homage to the classic shapes of Greco-Roman cuts, associated with the wavy imprints that the sea leaves on the sand as it recedes.
Its raw appearance is given by its material: Jesmonite, a composite based on gypsum powder, with low environmental impact. Between past and future, its manufacture combines modern technology and traditional know-how: each piece is as delicate as it is unique.
