Artist statement
Part of the latest Formaminima Lamp/Two Collection-Table light, Lamp/Two Wood features one of the sought-after materials between the fine selection of the first Lamp/One Collection: the solid Canaletto walnut wood. This natural essence and its warm touch are matched to the ephemeral materiality of a crystal shade, hosting extra-thin Limoges porcelain geometries. These elements provide sophisticated plays of lights when the table lamp is turned on. Similarly to Lamp/One Collection, the diffuser is the focal point of the composition. A sleek brass squared tubular, enriched by the golden nuance of a satin hand-finish, and realized through the employment of hidden joinery, unveils the intersections between the orthogonal elements of this minimal structure. This latter gently suspends the diffuser on a brass base, softly irradiating the coming light into the surrounding interior.
