Artist statement
Carv Occasional table is Showcasing marble as a three dimensional piece rather than the usual
finishing surface.
Cut from a single piece, essentially left with a flat top organically flowing
to a Y - shaped foot, revealing the marble’s unique veins and appearance.
Nero Marquina marble: Striking Black background accented by contrasting white veining
andthe occasional fossil remains.
Much like petrol, this stone gets it intense color from organic deposits
which pigments’ did not dissolve during the course of it’s formation.
As no two blocks are identical, each table is one of a kind with a uniqe vein & pattern.
