About the art
Artist statement
Hana's second daughter, Karen, started painting in 2015, during a period of illness. This tapestry was inspired by one of her original paintings, ‘Rivers of Living Water’. Hana knew very little about her daughter’s journey of overcoming her mental health crises, so the three-month process of translating her painting into a tapestry gave her a glimpse in Karen's inner world.
