Concrete Lamp
The concrete version Brick Lamp is made from a special mix of cement and fine grain sands. With added pigment to enrich the color, the dark gray concrete housing is cast in a high quality rubber mold to create a super fine and smooth finish.
Battery : 4000mAh / 5 hours usage
Light source : 3 Watt warm white LED light
Input : 5V 1A, 5.5/2.1mm DC connector & USB port
A minimal and portable LED lamp, is activated when raised(on) or laid flat(off).
The objective is to capture the moment of light - being concealed and revealed. This unique lighting design would turn a quotidian routine into an enriching experience, providing an unexpected, fun quality to a daily object.
We accomplished this by making a simplified and functional lamp, instead of a switch, light is activated when raised(on) and deactivated when laid flat(off). By creating the side facets, a natural handle is made and also directs the light when the brick sits on it’s sides.
Due to the nature and color of the concrete, each piece is one of a kind.
