Artist statement
[Scorched Series] are furniture inspired by the organic forms and textures from our nature.
To focus on the shape and the texture of nature itself, atypical curves from the nature and process of burning woods were used to create organic shape and texture.
Burnt edges show somewhere between the process of furniture being made out of natural resources and the process of burning to the point where it has little to no value.
