Artist statement
Second vase in the Motion series.
This is a hand built vessel that can be used as a sculptural object or a vase for a small bouquet.
Made of grey stoneware with coarse grog, this vessel is water-tight since it's glazed on the inside with a coat of clear glossy glaze.
This piece was an exploration of motion in a static object; it almost looks like it has fluidity, the light and shadows show all the details which can be seen from different angles.
