Artist statement
The FLINT hourglass is a unique piece that provokes a sense of solidity and the pausing of time. The metal cross cuts cleanly through the terrazzo domed ends, adding an unexpected and playful element to any setting. Sold as a pair or on its own, they can be stacked, displayed alone or used as bookends.
Terrazzo is made of natural marble chips and involves a hand-made process; hence inconsistencies are expected and each piece is unique.
