Artist statement
The Rare Collection is a limited edition table collection presented during Art Basel Hong Kong 2013. The collection's designed to serve as a reminder and ode to a material that once embodied religious, institutional and monumental architecture. Each piece is a result of the conceptualization of marble as the flesh of our earth. The tables come in a range of sizes and feature hand-carved tops made from rare marble set within a claw of corten steel, atop a rose-gold mirrored base.
