About the art
Artist statement
All my work concerns fragility and lightness. It's a non-conceptual approach that investigates the chances of the material, leading to its extreme consequences. The “Arcanae exuviae” series talks about what is left from another life. This pieces, very different one from another, represent what remains of unidentified life forms. Lives from the past or lives from the future, we don't know, but we are urged to imagine and ask questions about them...All this artworks want to evoke different and parallel worlds in which we can immerse ourselves and free our imagination. The extreme lightness of my works wants to remember the fragility and the extreme beauty of Creation as well. This piece has been selected at the 3rd Bon Art Project (Téhéran, Iran) International Virtual Ceramic Exhibition. It consists in a bowl made of porcelain mixed with sand and an inside group of porcelain "cocoons" shaped also with cotton fibers. The piece is fired at 1260°C. in oxidation.
