About the art
Artist statement
Group of 6 pink and green mass-colored porcelain vases, fired at 1260 C. They are all unique pieces cast in disposable cardboard molds (specially made), with a long manual process through which they undergo the characteristic deformations. The porcelain is first mass-colored, then three successive castings are made in the molds, to finish with another two or three castings of white porcelain. Between one casting and another, you have to wait for it to dry. Once completely dry, the framework that supports the cardboard mold is removed, the cardboard is removed, the vases are finished and they are glazed inside with transparent opaque glaze. Finally they are fired in single firing. The whole process takes about two weeks. The tall vases measure approximately: 32.5cm, diameter of cm. 8.5 the highest, the lowest 26.5, diameter of cm. 6.5. They are very decorative pieces but are also suitable for holding liquids and hosting your most beautiful flowers.
