Artist statement
"Submerged mistery" is part of the “Arcanae exuviae” series that talks about what is left from another life. This pieces, very different one from another, represent what remains of unidentified life forms. Lives from the past or lives from the future, we don't know, but we are urged to imagine and ask questions about them...All this artworks want to evoke different and parallel worlds in which we can immerse ourselves and free our imagination.
The bowl is realized on a balloon with many layers of porcelain. The inner layers are blue and the external layers are white and are added with sand. the "exuviae" are crafted with white porcelain and a small amount of blue Murano glass. Fired once in oxidation at 1260° C.
