Artist statement
Cast metal hollow capsules supported by individually hand polished or frosted acrylic glass plinths nestled between are hand-turned metal bolts that have been delicately fastened horizontally through the glass. A dynamic and artful piece that has been elegantly engineered.
The ACIS series imbues a familiar and utilitarian form with a contemporary and expressive sensibility. This multifunctional piece is finished in a choice of cast bronze patina, cast blackened bronze, brushed and sandblasted aluminum, and brushed pinewood.
