Artist statement
In a study of wood and its attributes I drew inspiration from natural materials and the fine detail of woodgrain which resulted in the series of rugs called Woodlines, the rugs are made form pure wool, and the design is handcarved to enhance the pattern and sense of depth and structure in the rug. The rugs can be customized to suit interior needs in terms of colour and size. They take aprox 6-8 weeks to manufacture .
