Jää Cubes - a pair of side tables

The Jää cube pair are multifunctional, sculptural pieces of furniture. They are designed to be tables, seats or stands. The Jää cubes feel warm to touch with a tactile surface. They have angled profiles, which allow the cubes to lean towards armchairs or a bed. Perfect as bedside tables or end tables for a sofa and armchairs.

The Jää furniture is made out of 100% recycled post-consumer plastic - pure waste that has been diverted from the landfills. The Finnish word jää has two meanings; ‘ice’ and ‘please stay’ - a perfect word for sustainable pieces of design.

Our inspiration for the Jää furniture series came initially from the beautiful and practical nature of recycled plastic and its environmentally friendly credentials. Through the design and use of materials, we wanted to show that recycled plastic furniture can be bold, desirable and aesthetically pleasing. The furniture is made in Britain with a mixture of polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) plastic shapes with small, satin polished aluminium spacers and nuts. Further, the Jää designs are also fully recyclable contributing to the circular economy.

The Jää pieces are sculptural, multifunctional and adaptable designs suitable for both indoors and outdoors in public and private spaces. Handmade to order in the UK.
