Nina Makelberge's La Ligne collection celebrates antique forms in opalescent crystal glass. Mouth-blown by master artisans in north Bohemian glassworks using rigorous time-honored techniques, vase no.1 takes inspiration from the striking simplicity of antique Korean moon jars. The rare opaline crystal shifts color with light, changing from soft opaque tones in the shade to luminous translucency in daylight, to further emphasize the vessels' ethereal and perfectly imperfect forms including the delicate line running along it's equator where the two halves join.
