Artist statement
The Deen design is all curves; four intersecting lobes inspired by the quatrefoil motif of Gothic and Renaissance architecture that undulate with a slight variation in symmetry . A counterpoint is established between its voluptuous form and a riot of full-tilt colour. Deen (Brut) crests with a generous profile that accommodates a bounty of flowers, and it makes a statement all on its own as a standalone sculpture.
