Artist statement
A freedom that can not be satisfied with the achieved, little sister to the Khatha lounge chair.
Khatha chair is a functional work of art that pays homage to the timeless and historic furniture. I have run my project based on female pioneering designers and my rich cultural heritage from ancient Mesopotamia. Khatha means sister but also new to the Chaldean language that I grew up with.
As a female designer, I want to highlight women's contributions to the industry.
