Artist statement
This sculpture embodies a paradoxical connection between weight and stillness, materiality and inner harmony. Its minimalist form and substantial mass create a sense of stability and groundedness, while the balanced composition evokes meditative equilibrium.
The use of natural talc chlorite stone and a metal element highlights a dialogue between the organic and the industrial, the eternal and the transient. Despite its compact size, the object possesses a striking heaviness that challenges tactile expectations.
The sculpture can also function as a tealight holder, enhancing the metaphor of inner light, stillness, and contemplation.
