Artist statement
Coil built in white clay, this coffee table is the product of what, in literature, is called stream of consciousness. As it often happens, the piece is not drawn before, not even sketched. Search for inspiration or meaning is not an essential step in Stanzanumerotre’s creative process. Sometimes it’s just about a thought finding its way out, coil after coil, from a piece of clay taking shape.
