Artist statement
Alumina Square Table by Studio Gameiro.
To design something where one will one day eat, hold some books, put some flowers on or drape in unusual patterns for an event is not rocket-science. But to do it beautifully by focusing on form and function, and simplicity, can take you one step further. The table we designed (from a single sketch and rendering into a palpable, touchable texture), serves as a modular example of adapting to circumstances. Easy to carry, easy to move.
And certainly easy to get some of your friends around. Not everything needs to be circular, sometimes being square makes a difference.
The Alumina Square Table belongs to the Alumina Collection, also composed of the Alumina Wooden Stool, Alumina Round Table and Alumina Chair which makes the complete set with the Alumina Square Table.
