RAMBU Side Table is a series from RAMBU Collection designed by Studio Hendro Hadinata. RAMBU holistically blends traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Drawing inspiration from the ancient Sumbanese art of Mamuli jewelry-making, this collection reimagines these techniques through contemporary metalwork.
Featuring embossing, debossing, and stamping on single-material metal sheets, RAMBU highlights the tactile nature of craftsmanship. By using symbolic shapes in place of color, the collection is made accessible to those with visual impairments. RAMBU not only celebrates Sumbanese cultural heritage but also emphasizes the importance of inclusive design in the modern era.
