Artist statement
Sama coat stand is part of the Sama collection, offering a functional simplicity that adds a unique and elegant touch to its environment. Taking its reference from the poetry of whirling costumes worn in Sufi ceremonies, the design plays with the geometry of conic sections to create simple yet authentic pieces of furniture.
Produced by skilled wood and metal craftsmen using completely natural materials, the series provides customization according to user needs through alternatives in veneers, colors and dimensions. With its minimal design and strong visual effect, Sama collection provides functionality, emotional experience and uniqueness.
Sama Collection received "A' Design Award Silver" in 2020 and “Design Turkey Superior Design Award” in Design Turkey Industrial Design Awards 2019.
