Artist statement
Mon Vase emerged with idea of reuniting natural stone with nature after shaping it by hand. It emphasises the concept of balance and wabi-sabi approach with its broken carrier surface and complementary circle form. Its name comes from Japanese culture. ''Mon'' is a Japanese insignia decorated with circled floral motifs.
