Artist statement
First designed and produced by Studio SORS. in 2020. Paravent is the result of a study between a room and its walls in the context of use. A screen and a sculpture, Paravant is the physical and aesthetic frontier between design and space. As an architectural element, each one is produced bespoke allowing for a full design integration. The rawness of the cement finish and refinement of its metal elements form shapes that nod to the philosophy of modern brutalism.
