Artist statement
Inspired by the flow of water through natural rock strata, the artwork contrasts delicate fluidity against solid compositions. The varying rock layers speaks of time’s passing, weighed by lineages and origins; while the lightness of glass shows the meandering nature of these paths, and their capacity for unexpected change and transformation.
Exhibited at Tan's 2018 solo Aequilibrium.
