Artist statement
It means “You and Me”. My inspiration is how “you and me” can help recover Mother Earth. Because of human negligence a lot of animals, the environment and human health are being affected by plastic waste. Instead of extracting our natural resources, burning or dumping plastic in the ocean, why not we keep it at home for furniture use.
4kgs of plastic waste has been used/saved for each chair. All plastic waste are properly collected by a partner community, it is being cleaned and twine by hand. Chair frame is made of industrial steel bar that are from recycled metals.
