Artist statement
The Roadster armchair and footstool embody a captivating synthesis of contemporary design and a heartfelt nod to bygone eras. Forged from robust wenge wood, supple vegetable-tanned leather, and resilient stainless steel, these pieces radiate an enchanting aura. The artisan's musings on classic sports cars, boats, and aviation are etched into their sleek contours, evoking a sense of timeless allure.
The armchair boasts ingenious leather straps adorned with self-tightening mechanisms, affording you the possibility of adjusting the seat's inclination angle at your leisure. Wooden elements take shape through the careful union of stout wenge planks, meticulously married with tongue-and-groove craftsmanship. Every curve is meticulously hand-sanded to perfection, culminating in a flawlessly refined finish. With an unwavering devotion to precision and a mastery of technique, the Roadster armchair and footstool epitomize the marriage of aesthetics and functionality that defines modern design.
The armchair's adjustable depth ranges from 23 to 26.7 inches based on your preferred angle. The footstool measures 20x11x14.5 inches, presenting a harmonious companion to the armchair's elegance.
