Halo pendant

Inspired by the feather headbands traditionally used by the Pataxó ethnic
women, the Halo pendants have their feathers attached by threads put side
by side in a peroba wood structure. Like moving clouds, they will fall from the
ceiling with their white feathers at different heights.

About Sons of the Earth collection:
Invited by Arassari Pataxó, one of the leaders of the Pataxó ethnic group, to visit Aldeia Mãe Barra Velha, in Porto Seguro - Bahia, I spent three days immersed in visiting several villages within the Pataxó reserve, these with different techniques of traditional and ancestral handicrafts of the ethnic group.

In this immersion, what I saw up close is intense and profound: I was able to experience the daily life of this indigenous people who were one of the first ethnic groups to have contact with the Portuguese colonizers.

As an apprentice to the true roots of this territory, I contemplated, listened to and learned the history of Brazil, told by those who were here even before foreigners arrived.

A common mother, Mother Nature.
We are all brothers and sisters.
An achievement of one,
is an achievement for all.
