This series is a part of ongoing research where I investigate how we encode and decode information as well as how information can change form. For example when sound is emitted from a musical instrument in the form of vibration that travels through the air only to hit our eardrum to get translated again into electrical signals our brain interprets.

Music can be played, or written down on a scoresheet for someone else to read. In this case, we can think of this piece of paper to contain all the information needed to play the melody but it is in another form, one that cannot be heard only read.

Playing with this idea of capturing, changing, and storing the information I created an algorithm that analyses parts of songs and based on some parameters like frequency and amplitude creates a visual representation that gets encapsulated on the ceramic surface.
