Artist statement
The design of the table costists of two angular shapes in contrasting colors.
Two support surfaces are designed to have as much useful surface area as possible, creating a combination of two contrasting materials: light and dark (Cherry Crystal + Nero Assoluto Granite), polished and sandblasted.
The shape of the coffee table is based on the canons of Japanese aesthetics: simplicity, assymetry, tranquility, freedom from routine.
