Edition 33 ist based in Bavaria, Germany, a region with a long history of traditional craftsmanship and a well established system of formation from apprentice to master. Founded and curated by Industrial Designer and Engineer Max Neustadt in 2020, Edition 33 stands for modern yet timeless functional furniture, built as small series in highest quality by selected manufacturers.

Max Neustadt, after finishing an apprenticeship as a cabinetmaker, studied at the prestigious design school ÉCAL in Schwitzerland and gathered experiences working for german furniture Editor Nils Holger Moormann and Munich based Designer Stefan Diez.

Being a trained craftsman himself, he develops each of the items – be it his own creations or those of selected designers he likes – from the sketch over prototypes to production.
