Morisho Meiboku

Hometown: Uda City

Based in: Uda, Nara, Japan

Founded in 1927, Morisho Meiboku started as a lumber industry focused in forestry and log polishing in Okuyamato, Nara. We work with Yoshino Cedar and Cypress, grown in the environment and climate Okuyamato was blessed with. We appreciate the irreplaceable resources from the forests and manufacture polished logs while preserving our inherited traditions, and are proud of the reliable quality of the material.

We are currently developing a series of new products under the brand MORITO that balance the preservation of our traditions with advancing our wood culture and local industry.
