Olga Bielawska is a designer in Hamburg, Germany. Born in Warsaw/ Poland, raised in Bavaria/ Germany, she graduated from the Bauhaus University in Weimar.
In 2013 she founded her own design studio, from where she cooperates with international companies, to develop products in different fields ranging from furniture to lighting. Her work has been continuously presented at international fairs, galleries and exhibitions and were published in several magazines.
2015 she gained a Special Mention of the German Design Award in the category lighting. The fundamental core drivers for her products are geometrical shapes, mixed materials and traditional construction methods. The essence of each individual piece in this series illustrates a visual message derived through its namesake.
Olga Bielawska visually composes an individual narrative of sophistication yet conveys simplicity. Though each of the designs in the series dynamic use of basic elements. Her purpose is to give every object a unique character and a narrative personality, which is able to accumulate stories of lives lived around it.
