Omur Tokgoz was born in 1966, in Turkey. She graduated from Ege University, Faculty of Textile Engineering in 1988.
Tokgoz worked as a textile engineer until 2003. In that year, she quit her job and started working with ceramics in M.Tüzüm Kizilcan’s ceramic studio. She established her own studio in 2006. She has been making experimental studies in porcelain since than.
She has joined many international group exhibitions, ceramic biennales and ceramic symposiums in Turkey and abroad and has also received international awards.
