Jong-dae Ryu is currently a representative designer at StudioJDR and a resident artist at the Seoul Foundation for Culture. Recently, he has been working to cross the boundaries of art and technology by holding individual exhibitions in Japan and South Korea under the theme of ‘DIGITAL CRAFT’. In particular, the ‘Digital Craft’ series released in 2017 is developing a new type of craft work by 3D printing the recyclable materials or the eco-friendly plastic extracted from corn starch. And recently, He is teaching furniture design at Hongik University and collaborating with art museums and companies in Korea, Canada, and Italy.
