Artinformal
Country: Philippines
Artinformal was established in 2004 by a clique of contemporary Filipino artists as an initiative to bring art and its practice closer to the community through programs of exhibitions and art education. Its attendant gallery space, established two years later, promotes and features a broad range of art forms to the public - from sculpture, painting, pottery, installation, multi- media, performances - all under the rubric of creative exchange and encounters. The Big Room, a 30 square meter space adjacent to the main gallery, was opened in 2012, while the Inner Room (18 square meter space) opened in 2013 to allow for three simultaneous exhibitions.
The space establishes itself as a unique locus of the Filipino art public where collaborations between artists, curators, managers and collectors form the basis of its many events and exhibitions. It progressively promotes Filipino artists in art markets and cultural institutions in Asia and elsewhere, affirming the dynamic relations and developments in the region and the strength of its creative and cultural industries. Artinformal is in spirit artist-run and thus represents a platform of artistic independence and creative enterprise.
One of the recent thrusts of Artinformal is to bring its artists to an international platform by way of partnerships with established galleries abroad and participation in major international art fairs.
We don't have any works from this gallery at the moment.
