Patrick Davies has spent over 25 years in the contemporary art world, beginning his career in the Modern Picture Department at Christie's, for whom he worked in London and New York. Based in the UK, the gallery collaborates with a small group of artists whose work, although diverse, has a common thread. Each is highly accomplished within their own practice, producing work that is well made, stimulating and worthy of dialogue. They are promoted through exhibitions, art fairs and special projects in the UK and abroad. Notably, Patrick Davies works with John Virtue, one of the most distinguished UK painters and Chinese-Malaysian, Hock-Aun Teh, whose 2019 solo exhibition at the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur was received with great critical acclaim.
In addition to artist promotion, the gallery helps both private and corporate clients acquire contemporary works. Recent purchases - at auction and privately - include Kaws, Os Gemeos, Banksy, JR, Invader and Blek le Rat, on behalf of a UK-based collection. We also work closely with Historic Royal Palaces on an initiative which started in 2011.
