Outside MACBA, the Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona, is the place in the city where the skate scene is emerging. Lots of people come there to hang out, talk and watch the skating. And what better place to do it than in front of this magnificent building designed by Richard Meier. The museum was opened to the public in 1995, located amongst some of Barcelona’s oldest streets, providing one of the best art and culture poles in the city, in addition to revamping the public space.
The photo tries to reveal the daily activity that takes place there, in a minimal way, playing with the geometry, the volumes and the shadows of the white façade as the perfect background, and trying to capture the movement of the scene by freezing the movement of the subject, inviting the spectator to guess that there is a skateboard without showing it.
