About the art
Artist statement
Oxygen Ib, Pink is a newly created digital image taken with a scanning electron microscope. Later layered with a map and digitally manipulated. Taking photographs with a SEM is similar to taking photographs with a film camera. I decided to create a few abstract forms in different colours and this is the only one available in pink.
The work in its original form 'Oxygen Ib' was exhibited at the Science Museum in London, UK and was a finalist of the RPS Science Photographer of the Year 2019. As a fine art photographer and visual artist developing unique images in different styles using different artistic methods plays a huge factor in how I create work for exhibition and for collectors.
