Gabor Molnar
Hometown: Szolnok
Based in: budapest
HI! I am Gabor a digital artist from Budapest, Hungary. I started to learn digital art techniques back in 2010 and worked as a graphic and UX designer for almost a decade. Through that time, I took my visual skill to an advanced level, but I am still learning something new every day.
In 2019 I decided to share my personal work with a broader audience via social medial channels which served as the foundation of a contemporary visual project called Dformer.
I want to mediate controversial, bittersweet emotions through my scenes. I would like to express complex feelings through my art like loving and hating someone at the same time.
The thing I like the most to see how my audience get connected to those artworks and interpret it from their perspective.
if everything goes according to my plan, I am going to have my first exhibition in Barcelona later this year.
More About Gabor Molnar
What inspires you?
My inspiration comes in many ways, which is a mix of introverted and extroverted emotions. My main sources are the neon nightlife of Budapest, old pieces of vinyl like Pink Floyd: Animals, and classical books like Slaughterhouse nr. 5.
Describe your creative process.
I have a little notebook where I write some weird ideas that I'd like to create. However, when I start to work on something I create a mood first - that predicts how I interpret that idea. Therefore my works are a mix of a rational idea + an emotional state.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
