Beauty is everywhere, just look around you.
Misha. 28 years old. I live in Ukraine, in the frontline city of Kharkiv. While there is a war going on in my home, I try to find and show the beauty I find through the ugliness going on. This is my therapy, my meditation, and probably now my life. Here I want to share a part of myself with you. I photograph mostly nature, wildlife, landscapes and animals. I take great care in the photos I create, working out all the details. I can spend anywhere from a few days to a few weeks on each image. All I wish is to make pictures that you will hopefully hang in your home. Thank you to everyone who supports my work, it means the world to me.
What inspires you?
I am inspired by the peace in my thoughts that comes during the creation of my paintings.
Describe your creative process.
I drive out with my camera to a chosen location. I don't hesitate to get dirty for a good angle. I select the best from hundreds of photos. I turn on some music, most often classical, take my graphics tablet and start the longest and most painstaking stage - turning the ordinary into the extraordinary. I resort to drawing on top of the photo, and collaging if necessary for my idea.
What are 3 words that best describe your work?
Quiet, uncluttered, simplicity.
What is the most important tool when creating your work?
My eyes, hands and brain.
What is the best piece of advice you have been given?
who seeks will find
Where do you go for inspiration?
I'm going out into nature to look at animals. They are devoid of all human prejudices, dogmas and patterns of behavior. They just live, they're free and they're not subservient.
