Artist statement
Digital Lacerations I is part of a series of works entitled “Digital Lacerations” where each is a fragment of a bigger entity generated by combining two sets of mathematical fractal formulas.
This generative artwork is a restless mass taking place in the digital and undergoing deep changes at every alteration the artist induces. It is a virtual metaphor of the ever changing expansion happening within a human mind: an immaterial mass that further rips apart at every alteration, generating cavities and unfolding new forms of consciousness merely by submitting to its reactive nature.
