Artist statement
This is the central scene of the Battaglia di San Romano from Paolo Uccello. The incredible complexity of lines, perspectives and colours of the original painting is encrusted around this core. I isolated it and worked to highlight the structure. The background is ment to provide a colorfull comment to the scene.
