About the art
Artist statement
Martin Dzhachkov is a Bulgarian artist who has been maneuvering in Paris for 10 years in the most difficult genre of fine art - portraiture. He is a master and innovator, especially in collage, where he paints with paper and invents the genre "Poetic Collage".
As the name suggests, the artist's poetic collages are paintings created from particles of paper images combined into one large image. Inspiration for them comes from a variety of places: poetry, literature, opera, circus, fine arts, and even astronautics. The paintings take more than two hundred hours to create and complete and contain between five hundred and twenty thousand paper images.
