I live and work in the Weald of Kent, South East England. I work with landscapes, from which I draw my inspiration. the play of light and shadows, and the in-the-moment experience of absorbing the world around me inform my work. I am also drawn by my memories of a childhood spent outside. The visual impact and pleasure of that still resonates. I love colour and texture and in my work am always attempting to use these elements to create a harmonious balance. I enjoy working in an experimental way with different materials, I frequently throw paint at my canvas, and work with the canvas on the floor, dripping paint onto it.

Describe your creative process.
I work in many layers, with the canvas both on the floor and on the easel. initially I work on the florr to build up many layers and tones of colour, then I move to the easel to build up paint intensity, and to spatter paint onto the canvas. I throw, brush, use palette knives, rags and my hands to make a vibrant and interesting paint surface.
