About the art
Artist statement
This painting talks about the idea of the fabric of life with its complexities and difficulties, where the yellow colors represent childhood, blue represents youth, and pale purple represents old age and weakness, while the green in the middle represents the energy shared by the child and the young man, and the reddish purple at the end of the last middle represents the difficulties and responsibilities shared by the young man and the old man.
Now we come to the interpretation of the knot
Childhood stage: The simple knot
In childhood, the lines appear simple and uncomplicated, the small knot that appears in this stage reflects the naivety and innocence of childhood, childhood is a stage in which there are no life complications or major internal conflicts, life for the child is discovering his world
Youth stage
In the second line where the intertwined and complex lines appear, we find a representation of the difficulty of the youth stage, as in this stage the person is in a state of experience and responsibility, and the intertwined lines represent the intellectual confusion that the young man lives.
Old age stage
The third stage, which is the old age stage, shows a deterioration in the lines. The knot grows and reflects the difficulties of life and the illness that afflicts the body over time. The lines here may also begin to twist and weaken.
Interpretation of the last thread: The knot in the middle and the end is death.
The knot tied in the middle is also the last knot, which is death.
This painting carries a philosophical dimension about the sequence of life, its difficulties, troubles, joys and sorrows in the form of knots and entanglements that reflect the result of human conflict.
