About the art
Artist statement
I took dancing classes for a year and it made me think of its parallels with painting. I ended up finding a way, very different to my habitual process, which allowed me to paint dancers. This painting: “Volume in movement”, was the first that came out of this investigation. Although I did not stay in this approach, it did change how I wanted to paint things from then on.
