Artist statement
"Fleeting Bloom" captures the ephemeral beauty of a single flower in full bloom, its delicate petals bathed in soft, golden light. The oil painting conveys a sense of transience, with subtle brushstrokes and a warm, muted palette that evoke the momentary brilliance of the blossom before it fades. The background is blurred and abstract, emphasizing the fleeting nature of the bloom and drawing the viewer's focus to the flower's intricate details. The overall mood is both serene and poignant, reflecting the fragile beauty of life’s brief moments.
This was first shown at the Rhythmic Resonance show at The Private Museum Singapore in 2023 as part of the duo show with Australian artist Ian deSouza.
