About the art
Artist statement
This work is inspired by the Diòscuri, Càstore and Pollùce, the two mythological twins sons of Leda who mated Zeus while he was in the form of a swan and had given birth to two eggs: from one of these eggs were born Pollùce and Elena di Troia, children actually of Zeus; from the other egg were born Càstore and Clitennestra, children of Leda's husband, Tindaro.
The Diòscuri are considered protectors of sailors during storms, and in this form they are represented in the painting, as lights that illuminate a stormy sea and indicate to the sailors the right direction.
The painting doesn't need any frame and it is ready to hang. It comes with an Authenticity certificate.
